#Kindness Wins, donate to MACC Charities

Increasing access to healthy meals should be a right. The more individuals feel empowered in their communities, no matter how “poor” or “neglected,” the more they become better people within society. It is seeing the connection between a choice and the impact it has on those around them. Access to healthy food shouldn’t be reserved for just some but for all.

Join me this September in kicking off the month-long Community Kitchen Campaign. We are serving, on average, 125 individuals and families six days a week at MACC’s Community Kitchen. That totals a cost of $500.00 per day, with each meal at a price point of $3.97 per person. Will you join our campaign today and donate towards sponsoring a day’s worth of community kitchen meals to our community neighbors in need? See our attached September menu and sponsor a favorite meal or classic dish.

MACC’s Coffee Corner Is Back!

MACC's Elves are hard at work

With the end of summer, we welcome the start-up of the Coffee Corner once again! On September 7th, we welcomed the St Vincent De Paul Conferences of Manchester from Saint Teresa of Calcutta Parish and Salvation Army – Manchester to MACC’s Campus for a treat, coffee, and tour.

We discussed yearly projects we have throughout campus and answered general questions about MACC. We then toured all departments on campus and met with staff, who spoke about their duties and responsibilities as part of the MACC team. Would you like to join us for our next Coffee Corner to learn more about MACC and how you can get involved? Call or email me to sign up today!

Support For Households In Need

MACC Pantry Manager

Big shout out to Lynn Gustafson and the residents at the Evergreen Crossing Retirement Community for donating items on our “Outreach Starter Kit” needs list that provides families in need of basic household items such as small appliances, kitchen cookware, dinnerware and utensils, towels, sheets, blankets, etc. The Evergreen Crossing residents came through and helped replenish our needs, allowing us to keep providing a little relief to those most in need. Thank you for thinking of us and the communities we serve.

Volunteer Spotlight

Chef Ferdinand, MACC Community Kitchen

Thank You, Avery!

Meet Avery!

Avery is embarking on his freshman High School journey and beginning his journey as a volunteer. He is eager to learn how things operate here at MACC and is ready to do any task or challenge! He has assisted us in the Community Emergency Food Pantry and Community Kitchen. It was great seeing such a young man interacting with our community guests in handing out meals during lunch service. We are all looking forward to seeing Avery’s growth as he matures. Thanks for your help, kiddo!

Back To School Pantry Needs

MACC's Elves are hard at work

After a successful summer with our families requesting the little extras as the kiddos were home enjoying their beautiful summer, our Community Emergency Food Pantry took a hit with our reserves, and we are now requesting our community’s support to restock our shelves so we may continue providing to our families with the important staple items they need. Check out our need list for the best items to donate.
