We hope it will inspire you to get involved.

Beth Stafford

Executive Director/CEO

I have loved my 24 years with MACC, and this writing will be my official last MACC Minutes as I help transition MACC to its new leadership and my retirement in June.

Please help me celebrate MACC in my 50 acts of kindness Community Challenge as we Honor our past, Embrace our present, and work to Inspire our future of how MACC serves the community. Follow us on social media and share your purposeful act(s) of kindness.

The MACC Giving Plate… It shall have no permanent home nor owner to call it theirs. For its journey is to never end, and its travels to be amongst all of our community friends! Its creation was simply to create and carry love from home to home for everyone’s embrace of a cooked meal.

So during this 50th year of MACC honoring the past, embracing the present, and inspiring the future, we look to you to fill, share, and enjoy what you place on your plate! Click the button to sign up and share the love.

Chef Ferdinand Cruz

Community Kitchen Head Chef

Meet Owen! Owen has joined us as part of the Coventry School’s 18 – 21 R.I.S.E program, where they teach their students to strive to reach independence through support and education. Having him assist in the pantry and the kitchen has been an absolute pleasure. At first, very quiet and shy, he has become quite the up-and-rising star. He takes direction well and brings great initiative to our volunteer team. Thank you, Owen, for your continuous efforts. Great job bud!

Pantry Manager

Would you like to help the MACC Pantry without the hassle of shopping and delivering your donation? Shop Rite has done the shopping for you. For $5 or $10, you can purchase a packaged bag of groceries containing items the Community Emergency Food Pantry needs. Our MACC volunteers will pick up your donation and deliver it to the Pantry, where we will be waiting to share it with families in need. This past year, we received over $7,000 in food purchases from Shop Rite customers. Help us meet our communities needs!

Operations Manager

It’s coffee time!

Every month we will be hosting a Coffee Corner with light refreshments. The Coffee Corner will give our donors, member churches, and yourself insight into the daily operations of MACC. You will get a tour of our campus, and we will discuss what each department does on a daily basis, allowing you to see and understand how you can and do help MACC support our community!

For more information about the Coffee Corner or to sign up, email me at pthurlow@macc-ct.org.

Community Outreach and Emergency Services Manager

Can you imagine trying to sleep outside during our recent cold wave that brought record-low temperatures to our area? Thankfully, we are in a town that takes care of its community. MACC partnered with our Human Services and Police Department to ensure anyone looking for shelter would be placed inside during the extreme cold. In the days leading up to the expected weather, we were out looking for those in need. If you know someone needing shelter, please have them call 211 and contact me for guidance.
