 News from our Food Pantry

Saturday March 27th (the day before Palm Sunday) between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm, Buckingham Congregational Church is sponsoring a contactless, drop off food drive for MACC Charities. Donate non-perishable items and receive a palm for Palm Sunday! Drive through the far right parking lot at 16 Cricket Lane, Glastonbury CT. and attendants will remove items from your car!

How do you bless? The Manchester Church of Christ blessed the MACC Community Kitchen guests this past Sunday when they volunteered to pass out the MACC bagged lunches. The Church kicked the experience up a notch by providing a special wrapped dessert, a $5 coffee card and a personal care bag for each guest, filled with many useful hygiene items.

Shannon Baldassario

Director of Services

Celebrate the women in your life. March 31st will conclude National Women’s Month. I want to take this opportunity to express my appreciation to ALL the women who have influenced my life with their mentor ship, encouragement and support.

Reflecting on the gifts I have received makes me want to pass gifts like these to the women I serve through MACC.

Shouting out the Students from Coventry High’s volunteer school group. Lead by their teachers; Jeanne, Lisa and Karen, the students are all hands on in assisting with daily production in the kitchen. They have become the backbone to MACC executing hot lunches in the community. Kudos to all those involved. It’s a pleasure working side-by-side with all of you! Cheers!

Four new family sized crockpots were donated last week to our Outreach Starter Kit Program. The countertop electric cooking appliance will fill a room with the aromas of low temped, slow cooked flavored meals. Allowing a variety of dishes to be made by someone who may not be a chef in the kitchen. Thanks’ to SPARK, IPS for your donation!
