News from our Food Pantry
Odyssey School teacher Ms. Kirker-Head and Mr. Bieler challenged the school’s students. Fill Mr. Bieler’s Classroom with food, 1600 food items (which would be two items per floor tile in the classroom). The pay-off for the students? Mr Bieler would shave his beard if the goal was met. They did it! Thank you for donating your goods to MACC!

Hidden in plain sight are the Heroes and Sheroes of MACC. The incredible work these four people do behind the scenes to impact the lives of those we serve may not be seen by many, but is certainly felt by those who are hungry, facing a housing crisis, or have no other place to go. Feeling grateful for my #MACCStaff

“Getting back into the swing of things,” took on a new meaning post Covid’s high positivity rate. I will be attending my first in-person meeting in over a year this week and I cannot wait! We need that face-to-face interaction as it is key to building stronger relationships. Conversing in-person helps with understanding and interpreting body language and facial expressions.

Big shout out to Steve Sofianos, our sales rep from Performance Food Group. He goes above and beyond for us here at MACC. It speaks volumes to me seeing Steve roll up his sleeves (sort of speak) and jump in and assist his delivery driver in ensuring that we get our product in a timely matter. Thanks Steve!!

What’s happening in Outreach? We extended showers and laundry to twice a week – every Monday & Wednesday. We are collecting specific household items given in our Start Kit Program such as butter knives, cooking utensils, laundry baskets, measuring cups, and sheets for all bed sizes. Each day we seek out to influence a positive change and make a difference! #Kindnesswins
