Back to Basics. Meaning: start to give your attention to the simplest and most important matters after ignoring them for a while, for example, being kind seems simple, yet lately, it appears to be a quality most ignored by our society. You and I can get back to basics by choosing to perform intentional acts of kindness to benefit others.

Summer solstice has arrived!

The best and most natural hydrating liquid know to us is water. Summer days are usually hot and humid, and we feel it is important to help our guests stay well hydrated. Starting immediately, chilled bottles of water will be available to the guests at the community kitchen! Please consider helping us and donate bottled water.

If the items that you are donating are ripped, stained, missing pieces or broken, we cannot sell it. Our slogan is” IF WE WONT WEAR IT, WE WONT SELL IT! Donate quality used items to MACC Community Threads Thrift Shoppe.

Once again, I am excited to share the successful outcome of a sizeable donation of Ritz Crackers by Nabisco, made to the MACC emergency pantry. After distributing the crackers to all of the guests in the pantry over the past few weeks, my co-worker asked if I could possibly make a piecrust with the crackers, similar to graham cracker crumbs.
