Pantry Manager

This week, we’d like to give a huge thanks to the Perennial Planters of Manchester for their donation of Birthday Bag Kits. Everything is provided in these kits for a boy’s or girl’s birthday celebration. Their thoughtfulness in remembering a child’s special day is greatly appreciated. Now, a child will be able to enjoy their birthday with cake and candles!

Shannon Baldassario

Director of Services

I recently took part in a roundtable conversation on “Perspectives of Home?” It was great to listen and learn about the history of living in Manchester, discussing personal insight, as I’m a Manchester born and raised resident, to projecting what living in Manchester will be in the future. Thank you for this opportunity WORKSPACE-Manchester! Click below to watch the conversation.

Chef Ferdinand Cruz

MACC’s Community Kitchen

This week, we had a few guests in the neighborhood. Chef and crew from Maggie McFly’s were thoughtful enough to donate a meal and cater our lunch service. They served a delicious meal that consisted of Chicken Romano, a corn medley, tomato penne pasta and freshly baked cookies. They stayed to see our thankful guests and experience what we do.

While most people are still bundled for winter, Community Threads is getting ready for spring! We are looking for spring and summer clothes, shoes (kids and adults), as well as décor items to get the season started! Donation hours are 10am-2pm Monday-Friday, 10am-1pm Saturdays.
Gentle reminder that we cannot accept anything dirty, ripped or stained as well as no electronics.

Community Outreach and Emergency Services Manager

Learning the many aspects of my new job, and working with clients that so desperately seek help, I asked myself why these problems continue to exist in a nation so advanced compared to many others? Then I remembered this quote, “I wondered why somebody didn’t do something. Then I realized that I am somebody.” Join me to be that somebody.
