News from MACC Charities Food Pantry
This holiday season is heartwarming for all of us here at the pantry to see smiles on the families faces when they receive their holiday baskets, as well as any ” extras” we have had donated to give to the children of our families.The opportunity for all of us to give these “extras” fills our hearts with pure joy.

There are a lot of communities that provide services similar to what we do at MACC. Unfortunately, in today’s pandemic world, MORE needs to be done!! In a recent conversation with one of my culinary mentors, he said that he wished his hometown had services to help those in need and added he would be 1st to donate his time.

The Knights of Columbus surprised our Community Threads Thrift Store with an abundance of winter coats over the last two weeks. Our motto is, if you see someone in need of a coat, give them one. This year the KOC’s generous donation will keep a lot of individuals we serve warm. Thank you for keeping those in our community toasty.

Tis’ the season for snow and cold temperatures, which often signifies the start of winter. The severe cold weather protocol was activated by the Governor’s office last Wednesday thru Friday to help protect our vulnerable homeless population. With this information Outreach was quick to act by ensuring adequate shelter for seven homeless clients. No one should sleep in the cold.
