 News from our Food Pantry

The holiday Season is upon us and with this comes a need that most people forget about! FOIL PANS. We need foil pans for our turkeys, but we also need them for side dishes, or even a small Chicken!  When you are shopping, please think about donating a foil pan or 2 so our families may enjoy a nice meal!

Crisis creates opportunities to clear out, clean up and move forward. This past year, all of us have faced physical, mental, and emotional problems, directly or indirectly to COVID, that have pushed us into new realities.  As we now enter into the season of Thanksgiving, can you claim one or two good things that have come from the experience? #Sharethem

Shannon Baldassario

Director of Services

It was a voice I recognized… playing through voicemail expressing her gratitude with positive emotions! A conversation that began with a simple Hello, turned into an action plan to get this single mother of 1, who’s in school herself, HOUSED! Utilizing our network of connections paved the way to housing this family, allowing them to continuing building their life.  #Thankful

Today’ menu: Loaded Turkey Burger, salad and a bag of chips. What would you load YOUR burger with I mean the options are endless, right!? The volunteers and I loaded it with whatever we could get our hands on. Caramelized onion, mushrooms, baby spinach, feta, chopped bacon, grape tomatoes and roasted red peppers. So good it’ll make your knees weak!

News from Outreach

A perfectly wrapped gift that sat upon his lap was the scene during outreach last week. A community family blessed our guest who was in need with brand new boots and thermal socks for winter. “I have no words,” is what he said as he tightened his grip around the gift he was holding in his arms. His appreciation was FELT!
